So you want to be a Winners Bitch?

Well, unless you are a female dog, you can't.

Many people get confused by the process of dog shows. On your first time watching a dog show, it can get very confusing. First, this cute little puppy goes out there all by himself, or maybe with another one, or maybe with ten others. The judge directs them to go around the ring, stand on a table (if they are a small dog) for an exam, go to a corner of the ring, back to the judge and around again. The routine can change, but in the end, he gives a blue ribbon to one of them. Then all the dogs leave and more dogs enter the ring. This can repeat for upwards of 14 times or so.

Why do different dogs keep coming and going? Why do some of them come back? What do all the ribbons mean?
